Rerun Election: PDP uses ADP to thrash APC in Plateau

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) is poised to coast home to victory as it is leading in five of the six Local Government Areas in the Plateau North Senatorial re-run elections held on Saturday.
Official results already declared puts the APC trailing behind ADP all thanks to the support of the PDP which was excluded from the contest.
ADP won the re-run election in Rabin Du polling unit in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Rabin Du is the poling unit of former Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang.

A total of 334 voters were registered in the polling unit while 194 were accredited.

From the result collated by the Presiding Officer of the poling unit, Lassa Abacha, ADC scored 159 votes to defeat six other parties that also participated in the re-run.
On the overall results, the Returning Officer for the exercise, Prof. Nestor Chagok, announced that the ADP Candidate, Mr Pam Dachungyang, was leading with 91,184 votes.

The APC Candidate, Mr Chris Giwa, came second with 31,183, while the Labour Party (LP) Candidate,  Mr Gyang Zi, trailed behind with 20,395.

The results showed that ADP won in all the five LGAs, namely Barkin Ladi, Bassa, Jos South, Jos East and Riyom.
