The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at the 6 area council chairmen who have ditched the monthly security meetings.

Wike, who gave the indication at a town hall meeting in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), insisted that henceforth any of the council chairman who fails to host the meeting would be declared a security threat.

“How will you say you are not holding the monthly security meeting because you don’t have stipend? Henceforth, any chairman who fails to hold such meeting will be seen as a threat to security,” the minister said.

He indicated that the FCT Administration under his watch would do everything possible to support security operatives.

The AMAC chairman, Christopher Maikalagiu, while responding commended Wike for what he called “developmental projects that he has been executing since he assumed office”.
