Apparently disturbed about the polarisation and the seemingly lack of unity, the Pan Yoruba Socio-cultural group has removed Chief Ayo Adebanjo as the Acting Leader of the organisation.
His removal was perfected during the monthly meeting of Afenifere held on Wednesday at the Akure , Ondo State residence of its Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
The removal of Adebanjo followed a motion moved by Professor Samuel Ibikunle and seconded by another member.
The Afenifere elders’ forum had made the recommendation
Spokesman of Afenifere, Jare Ajayi told newsmen at the end of the meeting that Adebanjo was removed to ensure unity and address polarisation.
