***Group disagrees, tells Bello, Ododo, he is not competent
The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones has claimed to have been annointed as the next Secretary to Kogi State Government while addressing his supporters
The Commissioner it was gathered, has been telling his supporters that having been the brain behind the Kogi State University that has been established in Kabba, Governor Yahaya Bello has assured him of appointing him as the next SSG in the next administration.
Sources close to the Commissioner disclosed that in a meeting which took place between the Commissioner and his people from Kabba-Bunu, he was said to have assured them that he is the next SSG of the state.
However, a concern group from Kogi west Senatorial district has advised the incoming governor not to appoint somebody that is not capable to manage the position.
According to Comrade Joseph Taiwo the Spokeperson of Kogi West Concerned Group for Better Government, Mr. Wemi Jones does not have the capability and capacity to manage the office.
In a statement he issued on Tuesday, he said the commissioner is using the establishment of the State University in Kabba as his sole achievement forgetting that Governor Bello made the promised during his second tenure that he will established the University in Kogi west.
He therefore appealed to Governor Yahaya Bello and the incoming governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo to appoint somebody that is intelligent and focus and also accepted by the people of his constituency.
