CAN visits Jigawa gov, applauds him over New Year, Christmas gifts

The JIgawa state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) leadership has visited Jigawa state government house to appreciate the governor Malam Umar Namadi for Christmas and New Year gifts to Christian community in the state.
The CAN delegation under the state’s chairman of the association Reverend Mori’s Kole Hassan applauded the state governor, Malam Umar Namadi and his government for the gesture.
The state chairman of CAN who was received by the state’s commissoner special duties, Alhaji Auwal D Sankara, described the gesture as a sign of love and good leadership.
He said, the gesture has proved the good intention of governor Malam Umar Namadi to operate an all inclusive Government, with justice, fairness to all manner of people in the state.
Reverend Kole promised to continue collaborating with the government in promoting peace unity and progress in the state, as Christianity denounces any act of violence or injustice.
He however assured the state government that, CAN will remain a big partner in building the prosperous future of the state.
In his comment after receiving the appreciation letter from CAN officials, the state Commissioner Special Duties said the state government offered them the donation of food items for them to celebrate the holy period in Joy.
He noted that, Jigawa state is home of every good person, irrespective of his tribe or religious inclination, adding that Government remains committed in protecting the life, properties as well as promoting the well-being of every one residing in the state.
