NLC tells Nigerians to disregard Strike notice says its E-mail Hacked, Letter Forged
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has countered reports that it had issued notice of indefinite nationwide strike starting Monday night.
The union on Saturday nigh indicated that its email was hacked and that the letter was forged.
The NLC it was alleged called for a nationwide strike starting from midnight on Monday, according to an email received from the NLC
However, shortly after the publication of the story, the NLC reacted to debunk the story.
The statement reads,
“Some mischief makers are circulating a letter written by Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria directing their affiliates to mobilise for a strike”, the official stated.
“The original letter was written late September and meant for the strike that was scheduled for 3rd October.
“That letter was manipulated by mischief makers who skillfully removed the date to make it look current.
“Please, disregard that letter. It was forged and our email was hacked
