Police arrest 55 suspected Criminals, recover N3.6m cash, other valuables in Jigawa

Jigawa state police command have arrested over 55 suspected criminals over alleged crimes of kidnapping, armed robbery and other offenses.
The state commissoner of police, Mr Ahmad Abdullahi, in his maiden press briefing at the state’s police command headquarters in Dutse, said “On my assumption of duty in the state 10 days ago we made trimendious achievement”.
The police boss explained that “The command under my leadership succeeded in arresting 25 suspected thieves and vandals, three suspected kidnappers, 10 suspected armed robbers, two suspected human traffickers, arrest of 10 suspected motor vehicle and motorcycle thieves and three suspected mobile phone thieves”.
Abdullahi added that “The command has recovered three fabricated local firearms, four motor vehicles, six motorcycles, N3,650,000 cash and nine android handsets”.
He stated further that also recovered were 32 cows, five sheep, vandalized armored cables and wares, Sesame, Millet and Groundnut valued at N450,000, 261 wraps of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 176 tablets of Exol etc.
According to him “The command will be guided on the security basic principles such as intelligence led policing, community policing, knowledge and collaboration with the sister security agencies to achieve common object and maintain effective crime control, civil disorder control and reduction in fear of crime”.
He assured the people in the state that through hard work, professionalism and partnership crime and criminality will be reduced to the barest minimum.
Abdullahi expressed gratitude to the inspector general of police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun “for finding me worthy to be deployed here to serve as commissioner of police of this great state”.
