The House of Representatives candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) for Ofu/Idah, Igalamela-Odolu/Ibaji Federal Constituency of Kogi State in the February 2023 General election, Egbunu Yusuf Amanabo has officially joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) along with his supporters in the area.
The former NNPP Governorship aspirant Dr. Mubarak Musa Saliu also joined the APC officially at the ceremony.
Amanabo had earlier collapsed his structure across the four Local Governments that made up the Ofu/Idah/Igalamela-Odolu/Ibaji/ Federal Constituency for the Ododo campaign organization along with his teeming supporters about 4 weeks earlier.
The ceremony which took place in his Igechaba ward, at Idah Hotels was graced by the who is who in the Kogi East Politics bringing together former senator Dangana Ocheja, Former reps member Emmanuel Egwu and other notable figures in Igala land.
Speaking at the ceremony Amanabo said
“I officially decamped from the NNPP to the APC today at my ward level in Idah with my teeming supporters at Idah Hotels”
Amanabo who is from Igechaba ward in Idah Local Government Area decanped along with his supporters in the Local Government and beyond.
“We have fully joined the APC today to give our support to the Ododo/Joel joint ticket with a robust campaign for total victory come November 11th, 2023.
The incoming deputy Governorship candidate Salifu Joel was on hand to receive Amanabo alongside Idah Local Government Council chairman, Abubakar Sadiq Odoma, APC zonal chairman, Comrade Muhammed Nasir Alfa
