The People’s Democratic Party, PDP Nasarawa chapter has replied the APC national Chairman that his party cannot reclaim the stolen mandate of the PDP which the court reclaimed from Governor Abdullahi Sule in the March 18 election.

The PDP state public Relations Officer, Alh. Ibrahim Hamza stated this while reacting to statement by the APC national chairman, Umar Ganduje that he will do everything possible to ensure Sule reclaim his mandate.

Ganduje through the APC Vice Chairman (North Central) of APC, Ahj. Muazu Rijau, at an event in  Lafia on Saturday, said that he would defend and reclaim their mandate in Nasarawa State.

The PDP noted that this statement by the APC National Chairman did not only undermine the sanctity of  democratic role, but had also revealed his blatant disregard for the rule of law and the will of the people.

The PDP however said that it is confident same victory at the tribunal would be maintain because the evidences that gave them the victory on 2nd Octorber at the tribunal are massive and will amount to the camel going through the eye of the needle for the victory to be upturned by the appelate court.

The PDP therefore cautioned the APC and it’s supporters to respect the rule of law and wishes of the people of Nasarawa state who decided to make their choice at the March 18th governorship election by voting Dr. David Ombugadu as the governor.

The PDP reiterated that the verdict of the tribunal must be respected, as it is a fundamental component of the country’s democratic system.

The PRO further explained that the comments by the APC National Chairman is only meant to incite political tensions and undermine the very principles upon which the nation’s democracy stands.

The PDP calls on all political leaders, regardless of their party affiliation, to refrain from making inflammatory statements that could disrupt the peace and stability of the nation.

He indicated that the PDP has remained committed to the promotion of democracy, rule of law, and the protection of the rights of all the people.

Meanwhile governor Abdullahi Sule has filed an appeal to challenge the decision of the 2nd October judgement that annulled his declaration by the INEC as winner.

In the same vane David Ombugadu has also filed a cross appeal against Abdullahi Sule at the Appeal court in line with the rules
