Tribunal in Nasarawa admits documents tendered by INEC ICT director

The Governorship Election Petition tribunal sitting in Lafia on Wednesday admitted documents tendered by the deputy director of ICT, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and were marked as exhibits.

The INEC deputy director ICT, Mr Ama Ibom who was subpoenaed to appear before the tribunal, responded and tender some documents.

The documents tendered and admitted as exhibit by the tribunal included; Form EC8A( Certify IREV Copies)of the affected Polling units in Lafia LG.

Other documents presented by the PDP lead counsel Dr. Okutepa and admitted by the court today also included Form EC8A for the 13 LGs in Nasarawa state, manual, Regulations and Guidelines for the conduct of 2023 General Elections duly certified and a certified true copy of seven Form EC8B.

In defence, the first, the second and the third respondents, (INEC,APC and Abdullahi Sule) respectively raised no objections to the documents tendered.

The PDP Lead counsel however appealed to the tribunal that he has one last star witness that will have to testify before he closed his case and wait for the final address.

The court proceeding was adjourned to 17th August 2023.
