Akpabio wins Senate Presidency, takes oath of Office
The clerk of the National assembly has announced senator Godswill Akpabio as the winner of the 10th senate presidency election.
He emerged President of the 10th Senate after polling 63 votes to defeat his closest rival, Abdulaziz Yari who polled 46 votes and has been administered oath of office.
Senator Akpabio was reported to be the annointed Candidate of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) the position.
