2023: Ombugadu promises free health insurance for Nasarawa if elected

The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. David Ombugadu, has assured citizens of the state free health insurance if elected in 2023.
Hon. Ombugadu made the commitment on Saturday at the party’s campaign rally in Nasarawa Local Government Area (LGA).
According to him health is wealth as such, he would give priority to ensuring a healthy society.
He added that widows, orphans and other vulnerable in the state would be the first to be considered in the health insurance scheme.
Ombugadu also disclosed that he was already sponsoring over 20,000 persons across the 13 LGAs on National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
He also promised to construct the road from Doma LGA to Nasarawa and through to Abuja to connect the area with Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Similarly, Nasarawa State PDP Chairman Francis Orogu, expressed optimism to win the Nasarawa West Senatorial seat vacated by Abdullahi Adamu.
Mr Orugu added that by resignation Adamu as the Senator representing Nasarawa West the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) could not conduct bye election to fill-in the vacancy due to lack of time.
He explained that already the seat is vacant and APC does not have a candidate due to litigation as a result of injustice done to thier aspirants during their primary election at the zone.
The Nasarawa State PDP Chairman said that his party had presented candidates that have the interest of thier people at heart.
On his part, Mr. Labaran Maku, Former Minister of Information and Director General (DG) of the campaign council called on the people to only vote for PDP candidates in all elections.
Maku added that Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the party is a detribilised Nigerian, well experienced, tested and trusted in various positions.
Maku also urged the people to vote for Ombugadu as the governor of Nasarawa State in 2023.
