The PDP, Campaign Council Chairman, Alh. Isah Ahmed Duniya Bahutu has challenged the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State to show its scorecard of achievements to the people of the state in the last eight years of their administration.
He threw the challenge while addressing the party’s stakeholders from Kafin Hausa Local Government Area on Friday in Dutse.

Bahutu who was former PDP chairman in the State specifically challenged the APC governorship candidate in the 2023 general election and the incumbent deputy governor, Umar Danmodi, to tell his people the dividends of democracy he has bequeathed to his people, instead of empty promises.

According to him, the deputy governor has made the job east for the PDP he has failed to attract developmental projects to his own Local Government as deputy Governor.
If he had delivered the dividends of democracy there won’t be need for the opposition party to campaign in his area.Bahutu said:

“This is the time achievements of any party in power should speak for them, but unfortunately, this is not the case now in Jigawa for the APC, particularly in Kafin Hausa Local Government Area.
”He told the stakeholders to recall achievements of the Peoples Democratic Party which it governed Jigawa a few years ago, pointing out that the LGA benefitted from the establishment of the “most modern state owned university, township rRoads, K/Hausa-Ruba-Bulangu Road, K/Hausa-Auyo Road, Sarawa-Gurgun Daho road, provision of streetlight, just to mention but a few.”In a statement by the Deputy Director Media and Publicity to the Santuraki Campaign Directorate, Umar Kyari Jitau Madamu, which was made available to DAILY POST, the council called on the stakeholders to work hard to ensure the election of Mustapha Lamido as the next governor so that more of such projects will be provided. In his speech, PDP, K/Hausa Local Govt, Alh. Idris Haruna said, though APC is giving prominence to the area because of its candidate, the PDP is leaving no stone unturned to ensure it retains its leadership strength in the area.Earlier in his speech, Mustapha Sule Lamido, candidate of PDP, assured the good people of K/Hausa that, when elected, he will implement the good policies and programmes of PDP for the benefit of the citizens. Many decampees from APC and NNPP also spoke during the occasion
