Group Celebrates Jigawa at 31, Appeals for Peace during 2023 Elections

Youth Enlightenment Empowerment Foundation of Nigeria (YEEFON) -a socio-political Non-Government Organisation (NGO) has felicitated with the government and people of Jigawa State as it marks 31 years anniversary of its creation.

The group appealed to the youth and women in the state to ensure peace and order reign ahead of 2023 general election.

This was contained in a statement issued by the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the group, Comrade Sani Ibrahim Taura which was made available to the National Update in Dutse.

The statement also congratulated the teeming members of Jigawa civil society, urging them to be proactive in the sensitisation public to be law abiding.

The organisation reiterated its commitment to sensitizing the public especially the youths and women to actively participate in politics by voting leaders with good conscience that can effectively charge the status quo in governance.

According to him “Tinubu-Shettima ticket of APC is people orientated, youth friendly and should be seen as a combination of tested and trusted experienced leaders that can improve on the lots of the people via good governance in Nigeria”.

He added that “Danmodi-Aminu combination in jigawa state is a synergy of good leaders with potential to revolutionalise governance of the agrarian state come 2023 hence they should be supported”.

Taura emphasised that the incumbent government led by able governor Badaru Abubakar has guaranteed autonomy to LGAs as well as making leadership transparent at all levels in Jigawa state.
