    Lamido(jnr) distributes liquid Fertilizer to 27,000 Farmers in Jigawa

    The Jigawa state gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Mustapha Lamido has distributed liquid fertilizer to 27,000 farmers across 287 political wards.

    Distributing the fertilizer at the PDP secretariat in Dutse, the governorship candidate, said the gesture is in line with his determination to support the farmers achieve bumper harvest this year.
    Lamido who was represented by his running mate, Alhaji Babandi Ibrahim Gumel, disclosed that a total of 380 cartons of liquid fertilizer were being distributed to about 27,000 farmers across the 27 local government areas of the state. “1000 farmers per LGA”, he said.

    The guber candidate urged that the fertilizer be distributed to the entire citizens irrespective of party affilliation.

    He explained that, during the reign of Sule Lamido, his father government used to pay 60 percent, while the citizens of Jigawa state paid about 40 percent of the amount.

    Also, the state Party chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Idris Digintsa advised the committee saddled with the responsibility of distributing the commodity to include everybody.

    “This fertilizer, should be given to everybody, not PDP or APC, but for the entire Jigawa people. It should be distributed equally”, he said.

    He said that the fertilizer is in liquid form, which has to be mixed with water before usage adding that each litre is equal to 1000 mil.
