APC thugs allegedly make good threats to kidnap SDP members ahead of Saturday election
The All Progressives Party (APC) has allegedly made good their threats to kidnap some SDP members to disrupt the Saturday governorship election in the state.
A statement issued by the Segun Oni Campaign Organisation’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Jackson Adebayo on Wednesday said no less than four members of the party had already been abducted.
According to the statement, the whereabouts of the kidnapped men, among whom is Hon. Kayode Adelusi aka Sir K can not be ascertained as at the time of this report.
The statement recalled that SDP had earlier raised the alarm on the nefarious plan of the APC which is now unfolding as evident in recent unprovoked attacks.
Adebayo revealed that the APC had mapped out this kidnapping strategy to cause disruption thereby bringing confusion to scare eligible voters in performing their civic duties.
According to the statement, it is the plan of the incumbent APC government to embarrass, molest and threaten innocent SDP members and supporters as well as instil fear in their minds even before the election.
The statement lamented that despite the fact that the law enforcement agents were aware of this development, nothing was being done presently to curb the menace.
Adebayo, who warned the APC to stop the ongoing harassment and intimidation of SDP members in all the Local Government Areas of the state, stressed the need for peace before, during and after the election.
He, however, reminded the APC that should the party refused to heed this warning, nobody has the monopoly of violence.
