Lamido cautions aspirants against unguarded utterances that can breed disunity

Former Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido has cautioned the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirants to avoid unguarded utterances against each other in the best interest of the party
in 2023 election.
The former governor said “It is necessary and important for all of you to avoid any comment that will course disunity or enemity among you or party supporters”

Lamido made the call when he received a presidential aspirant under the party, Alhaji Mohammed Hayatundeen at his residence at Bamaina, Birninkudu local government area of Jigawa state.

Lamido expressed concern over the unfortunate security and economic situation of the country, saying “Nigeria is ticking like a time bomb and urgently need an experienced, capable and hardworking person to save the people and the country”.

According to him “The Peoples Democratic Party has that capable, experienced and hardworking patriots who can restore the country within the necessary and needed period”.
“All the 15 aspirants are qualified to rule and save the country, PDP has the potentials and we believe you can do it. But it is a position for only one person. All of you can’t be there at the same time. It must be one person. So please organise yourselves, conduct yourselves in a very good, peaceful and mature way to achieve the desired objective”.
“So it is very important and necessary to respect yourselves, avoid any comment, statement or action against one another that will cause misunderstanding, create hatred, make enemies of yourselves to bring disunity in the party, that can be a serious threat to the party’s victory in 2023”.

Speaking earlier the presidential aspirant, Alhaji Hayatundeen said he was in the state and Lamido’s residence as part of his visits to states to meet the delegates ahead of party primary election.

He commended Lamido for his love and commitment to the party (PDP) “if not because of you and some few others the party would have become something else.
