The Lagos State Government has closed all Chrisland Schools within the State pending investigations of an alleged rape scandal involving a 10 year old female pupil of the School.
The closure of the school was happening after a 10-year-old pupil of the school was alleged to have been gang raped by her schoolmates during a trip to Dubai.

The statement said all child-centred institutions within the state must formulate and implement policies and systems compliant with the Executive Order (NO.EO/AA08 of 2016), Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Program.
“Any person who engages in any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a child commits an offence and is liable to a custodial sentence of fourteen (14) years.

“In the meantime, all Chrisland Schools within Lagos State are hereby closed, pending further investigations”, it added.
However, the mother of the victim of the alleged rape has reacted through a tearful video she released on Monday.
She said her daughter was gang raped by her peers, someone recorded the act and posted it online.
The sorrowful mother accused the school making attempt to cover up the incident by threatening her daughter not to talk to anyone about the incident or else she would be killed.
She said they conducted a pregnancy test on the girl while ostensibly saying that they were carrying out a covid test on her.
According to her, that the girl gave her charger to one Kachi, who asked her to come for the charger in the night in the boys’ room which the outrageous sex act took place.
The mother said that it was when the daughter got there that the boys gave her a substance which she alleged made her to lose her mind.
“My child attends Chrislam School VGC. Good evening mothers, good evening to everybody to fellow Nigerians, I am making out this cry to every one to help me out.
“About a month ago, I was on my way out of Lagos, so I got a call from Mrs Azike, the head teacher of the school. She told me that she needed to see me, I said okay I would come when I return.
“So two days after, I came to the school, and met her with two other women in her office. One introduced herself as Mrs Kemi, that they came from Chrisland headquarters
“They just wanted me to know that my daughter whom I left in their care, that they took to Dubai, had a kiss with a boy and the boy kissed her. That they got that thing from true and dare.
“That what they wanted me to do was to take her phone from her so that she won’t do that again.
“I said okay, if it is just that I will get the phone from her. Even Mrs Kemi told me that I should not tell my husband, that it is not every thing women disclose to their husband.
“So I said ok, as long as this is just kissing, and that I will caution my daughter so I left them. I thought everything was fine.
“I left but they took my daughter elsewhere to interrogate her without my consent. They’ve been threatening that if she speaks out, they are going to kill her. That’s it is a men’s world and she shouldn’t disclose it to me.
“My daughter was dying in silence I didn’t know. They took her to go and do a pregnancy test and lied it was a COVID test, almost three times.
“Because we have started confronting them that we are aware of what they did, the school sent her a suspension letter”, she said in tears.
