Senator Degi empowers constituents with motorbikes, sewing machines

The senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District in the senate of the National Assembly, Sen. Biobarakuma
Degi-Eremienyo, has given out over 140 motorbikes and 100 sewing machines to constituents as empowerment. A statement from his media office said the constituents were drawn from towns and villages he represents.


The gesture the statement indicated is a continuation of the series of empowerment programmes that he has initiated and lined up for their upliftment as their representative.


According to the statement, the distribution of the items took place in Elebele, Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa State before in the presence of community and party leaders.

In his remarks, the senator hinted that he had always sought to impact lives through empowerment programmes such as he has done throughout his career in public service.
He pledged he’ll never play politics with empowerment programmes.
