    NCP asks Buhari to sack CBN Gov, Emiefele if he fails to resign over presidential ambition

    President Muhammadu Buhari should sack the Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele if he fails to  humbly resign his position to focus on his political campaign for 2023, the National Conscience Party (NCP) National Chairman Dr Yunusa Tanko has urged.

    The party in a statement by Omole Olusegun, Special Assistant to the National Chairman said Emefiele’s refusal to address the viral video circulating the Social media showing his ambition to succeed President Buhari in 2023 is not speaking well of him.
    Tanko therefore called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack Emefiele.
    “Godwin Emefiele’s campaign video is being circulated round the social media for more than two weeks now and he as not in any way denied the videos cclips.
    “Just last Thursday, the Lagos State Governor,  Babajide Sanwolu backed out of Emefiele Project 2023.
    “We therefore call on President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency sack Mr. Godwin Emefiele to allow him focus on his Presidential ambition.
    The party also called on well-meaning Nigerians to vote competency, someone that would be stabilizer, a man of empathy.
    The party asked Nigerians to do away with ethnic and religious sentiments.
    “It is important to note that we stand on the part of equity, fairness and justice.We urge Nigerians to keep hope alive  .
    “Finally we task all Nigerians to go and get their Permanent voters card (PVC), as their vote is their right.”
