Kogi born Corps member lights up Borno community
Kogi Born Onivehu Musa Habeeb Serving in Borno State has donated some Solar Enabling Street Lights to Yerwa Community of Maiduguri.
The Commissioning of the project executed by the Corps Member was graced by the Borno State NYSC State Coordinator Mallam Nura Umar represented by the former Zonal Inspector who is the incumbent Borno State Assistant Director Planning and Statistics Alhaji D. Dangabarin.
The Borno State Coordinator said the Community Development Service is the Second Cardinal of activities in the NYSC scheme aim at encouraging Corps members to partake in different activities that will bring Development to the various Communities which is of three types; Group CDS, Selected Corps Members CDS and the Personal CDS.
On behalf of the NYSC Borno state, the coordinator appreciate the Facilitator Onivehu Musa Habeeb for Lighting the Community as the project serve as a security guard to the community.
Furthermore the coordinator urged the other Corps members to imitate Onivehu by embarking on Personal CDS adding that NYSC Borno State is willing and ever ready to assist any Corps Member willing to embark on a Personal CDS of Societal benefits.
On his part, the CDS Schedule officer Mallam Nura Mammannur Maude indicated that only Corps Members that are in the first place posted to the state’s CDS are recognise by the NYSC.
Maude Appreciated the Facilitator Onivehu Musa Habeeb on the project as he, out of joy acknowledged the corp member as the most dedicated Corps Member of the year as he wish him a Presidential award and success after his Service year.
On behalf of the Community, the Yerwa Girls Secondary School Vice Principal Miss Rahi Isa Wakilamtu expressed ppreciation to Onivehu Habeeb for choosing Yerwa Community as his implementation avenue saying the project served two purposes: as Lighting the community and Security Guard.
Miss Rahi Isa urged Corp Members Present to embark on personal CDS for activities done for communal development leads to personal development.
Onivehu Musa Habeeb with the state code number BO/21A/0261 Serving with Borno Investment Company Limited said the project proposal consisted of Fifteen solar lights but he only got the opportunity of fixing below the Proposal due to financial constraint and sponsorship of the project.
The corps member also applauded the Borno State Government, the Management of Borno Investment Company Limited and the Borno State Ministry of Housing and Energy for their Unreserved Support in ensuring that his dream of adding his little contribution to societal Development See the light of the day
He added that by pledging not to give up in the course of Serving Humanity, he will be returning to his State of Origin after the end of Service year.
Other dignitaries that graced the occasion National Youths Service Corps Borno State echelons, The principal of GGC Yerwa, The Leadership of the National Association of Ebira Students, University of Maiduguri, Chapter, corps members and members of the community as well.
