    Reps member Empowers 10,000 vulnerable constituents in Jigawa

    House of representatives, member representing Birninkudu/Buji federal constituency in Jigawa state, Engineer Magaji Da’u’ Aliyu has flagged off empowerment programme for
    10,000 people to complement the state and federal government social security programme.

    Speaking while launching the programme in Birninkudu, Birninkudu local government area, the law maker said the aim of the empowerment packages is to reduce poverty and promote wealth creation in Birninkudu/ Buji federal constituency.

    According to him, “This programme would complement the effort of federal and Jigawa state government on social security”.

    He indicated that, “the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme will be selected from each of the polling units in the constituency.

    “The empowerment will be in cash to enable every beneficiary improve his own business or to start a business”,

    Engineer Aliyu added that he is optimistic that, many of the beneficiaries will utilize the package for the betterment of their families”

    In his speech at the launching of the programme, the Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC) Birninkudu local government said, at their party level they will use the party structure at the grassroots to support the empowerment program for achieving the desire goals.

    He commended the lawmaker for his support to the party for progress and commitment to the betterment of the people of his constituency, Jigawa state and Nigeria at large .
