    Police in Kogi bans use of fireworks (Knockout)

    The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Police CP Idrisu Dauda Dabban has urged all parents to caution their Children and wards, particularly the Youths and Teenagers who engage in the use of fireworks (Knockout) to desist forthwith.
    A statement by the police public relations officer William Aya said the Police is determined to deal decisively with anybody that want to cause disturbance of public peace.
    “Anybody caught will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

    “The Commissioner of Police hereby advised all law abiding people in the State to go about their legitimate businesses and warns that the Command will not hesitate to apply the full wrath of the law against persons who take the law into their hands.

    “To this end, the Commissioner of Police urges the public to promptly report any suspicious movement or activities within their neighbourhood to the nearest security agents.”
