Nasarawa Gov presents N109.8billion 2022 appropriation to State Assembly

The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has on Thursday presented the 2022 budget proposal of N109,801,524,879.49) to the state house of assembly.
Sule while presenting the budget indicated that N70,891,582,458.57 only representing 64.56% of the total budget is earmarked for recurrent expenditure.
While the sum of N38,909,942,420.92 representing 35.44% of the total budget is earmarked for capital expenditure for the year 2022.
Sule described the budget as budget of sustainable transformation saying that it is expected to focus on completion of projects that would take the state further on the path of economic progress.
Speaker of the state assembly, Abdullahi Balarabe while receiving the budget assured the state of speedy passage.
Meanwhile governor Sule had earlier submitted a list of 15 commissioner nominees to the House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as members of the State Executive Council.
The Speaker of the House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi gave the indication after the House Leader Hon Umar Tanko Tunga read the Governor’s letter during the House proceedings on wednesday in Lafia.
The Speaker urged the appointees to submit 25 copies of their Curriculum Vitae ( CV) to the House on or before Tuesday Dec. 14, 2021.
The Speaker urged the appointees to appear for screening and possible confirmation on Wednesday, Dec.15, 2021.
In a related development, Gov. Sule requested the House to approve one additional Special Adviser that will assist him in running his government.
The Speaker read the Governor’s letter during plenary on Wednesday.
