The New Nigeria Democratic Congress has dismissed allegations that its National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, is secretly working with the ruling All Progressives Congress to undermine the party and its 2027 presidential ticket.
The party described the claim as unfounded, insisting that Dickson remains firmly committed to the NDC, its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The NDC National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, stated this in Abuja while reacting to the allegations.

Director said Dickson’s record in public service and his more than seven years in the Senate demonstrated his commitment to what he described as principled politics and the interests of Nigerians.
He said Dickson had opportunities to join the APC but instead chose to work with other Nigerians to establish the NDC as an alternative political platform ahead of the 2027 elections.
The party accused political opponents of circulating the allegations because of what it described as the growing acceptance of the NDC across the country.
The NDC urged its members, supporters and well-wishers not to be distracted by the controversy but to remain focused on its 2027 campaign.
It reaffirmed its support for Obi, Kwankwaso and other candidates contesting under the NDC platform.
“Together, we stand. Together, we shall win,” the statement said, restating the party’s commitment to its campaign for a new Nigeria.
