Chairman of G1 Group and Social Democratic Party candidate for Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency, Prince Gowon Enenche, has donated a brand-new Toyota Sienna bus to the Catholic Women Organisation, Ankpa Deanery.
The donation was made during the 2026 Onobule Omemele Award-Giving Ceremony and Fundraising held in Ankpa and attended by the Catholic Bishop of Idah Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Anthony Ademu Adaji, MSP.
Enenche had pledged to provide the vehicle several months ago during the CWO Ankpa Deanery Mother’s Day celebration at St. Charles College, Ankpa.
He said the donation was aimed at helping the organisation overcome transportation challenges and improve its operations across the deanery.
Speaking at the presentation, Enenche said he considered it important to honour commitments made to the community.
“When I made the promise to the Catholic Women Organisation, it was not merely a statement made for the occasion. I made that commitment because I understood the importance of mobility to the activities of the organisation,” he said.
He added that the vehicle would support the CWO’s meetings, outreach programmes and other activities.
Enenche said the intervention was not motivated by political considerations, stressing that community and faith-based organisations deserved support because of their contributions to society.
“This is not simply about donating a vehicle. It is about supporting an institution that contributes to the welfare of families, women and communities,” he said.
The CWO Ankpa Deanery expressed appreciation for the donation, saying the vehicle would make it easier for the organisation to carry out its programmes across the deanery.
The presentation was witnessed by Catholic faithful, community leaders, CWO members and other guests.
Enenche said the gesture was part of his commitment to supporting practical initiatives that directly benefit communities.
“A promise becomes meaningful when it is followed by action,” he said.
