The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, a senior official of the City Boy Movement, months after declaring her wanted over an alleged appointment and contract scam.
Tejuosho, the South-West Zonal Coordinator of the movement’s women wing, was arrested on September 8 and is currently in EFCC custody.
The commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the development on Saturday, saying, “She is in our custody.”
The arrest followed the EFCC’s April declaration of Tejuosho, 41, as wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
Investigators had accused her of allegedly collecting money from individuals after claiming she could help them secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts.
The probe also centred on allegations that she used fake appointment letters and forged documents to convince prospective victims that she had access to government appointments and contracts.
Tejuosho, who founded Haleems Integrated Services Limited, had earlier been questioned by the EFCC in June 2025 over the allegations and was subsequently granted administrative bail.
Her latest arrest came months after the anti-graft agency publicly sought information on her whereabouts.
The City Boy Movement had suspended Tejuosho shortly after the EFCC declared her wanted, saying the decision was necessary to protect the organisation’s image and allow the investigation to proceed without interference.
The group, which supports President Bola Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda, said her suspension would remain in force pending the outcome of the investigation.
Tejuosho’s arrest remains part of an ongoing investigation, and the allegations against her have not been established in court.
