Supporters of Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim in Jigawa State have intensified calls for him to contest Nigeria’s presidency, pledging widespread grassroots support and a strong voter mobilization drive should he enter the race.
The supporters, drawn from all 27 local government areas of the state, made their position known during a meeting with the state coordinator of the Olawepo-Hashim political movement in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.
At the gathering, the coordinator described Olawepo-Hashim as a seasoned politician, nationalist, and development advocate whose contributions to nation-building have earned him admiration across different regions of the country.
He argued that the growing demand for Olawepo-Hashim’s leadership reflects increasing public interest in leaders with a track record of patriotism, inclusiveness, and commitment to national progress.
According to him, the former presidential aspirant possesses the experience, vision, and leadership capacity required to tackle Nigeria’s economic, security, and governance challenges while fostering greater unity among citizens.
The supporters pledged to expand awareness of his political vision across communities in Jigawa and mobilize support at the grassroots level ahead of any future electoral contest.
They expressed confidence that Olawepo-Hashim’s message of national unity and development would resonate with Nigerians seeking effective leadership and sustainable solutions to the country’s challenges.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by participants to strengthen political engagement across the state and build momentum around what they described as a leadership project focused on Nigeria’s future.
