The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller Dantawaye, has called on the Council of Ulama’u, Kogi State chapter, to consistently pray for security agents as they work to enforce the law and protect lives and property.

CP Dantawaye made this appeal while receiving a delegation from the Council at the State Command headquarters in Lokoja during a courtesy visit.

Highlighting the importance of prayers in daily life, he noted that security personnel, given the risks they face, need divine guidance and support.
He expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a blessing, and emphasized that collaboration between security agencies and religious leaders is vital for maintaining peace and stability.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the police command’s commitment to working with religious and community leaders, stressing that security is a shared responsibility and not the duty of law enforcement officers alone.

He commended the Council for its role in conflict resolution and community engagement, urging its members to continue fostering unity across religious and ethnic divides.
He also acknowledged the Council’s efforts in organizing lectures and charitable activities, which he said contribute to building a peaceful society.

Dantawaye encouraged the Council to educate the public on the importance of providing security agencies with accurate and timely information.
He assured them of his dedication to justice, fairness, and the safety of all residents.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Council’s Public Relations Officer, Mallam Zakariya Zak, commended CP Dantawaye’s commitment to enhancing security in Kogi State.

Zak reiterated the Council’s dedication to promoting peaceful coexistence, resolving conflicts, and supporting law enforcement through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
He appreciated the police command’s cooperation in addressing community disputes and acknowledged the role of security agencies in maintaining stability.

He further highlighted the Council’s ongoing efforts to foster harmony, mediate disputes, and provide aid to those in need through charitable initiatives. He praised the strong partnership between the Police and the Council, noting that it has contributed significantly to resolving many critical issues.

The visit concluded with prayers for CP Dantawaye, with the Council members expressing hope that under his leadership, Kogi State would continue to experience peace and security.
