National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated the new Ata of Igala, His Royal Majesty, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa on his appointment, installation and presentation of Staff of Office.

The APC National Leader disclosed this while speaking with newsmen at the coronation ceremony and presentation of Staff of Office to the 28th Ata’ Igala at his Palace in Idah.

Tinubu who was represented by Barr. Realwan Okpanachi, Director General, Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023, said he was confident that the respected Monarch would uphold the sanctity of the stool.

He said that the position of Ata’ Igala as the custodian of Igala Kingdom traditional stool and President, Kogi State Council of Chiefs was no mean position.

Asiwaju expressed the believe that the new Ata would bring to bear his experience and exposure on the discharge of his traditionally assigned duties.

“As a good custodian of traditional values and rich heritage of Igala Kingdom, we are confident, His Royal Majesty will take the Igala kingdom traditional stool to higher heights.

“We earnestly pray that, as the 28th Attah of Igala Kingdom, the monarch would leverage on his huge experience, high leadership qualities and tremendous goodwill to promote peace and unity in the Kingdom and to promote the culture, customs, traditions and rich heritage of Igala people”, he said.

Tinubu regretted his inability to grace the coronation ceremony in person but added that the Ata’ Igala was on his list of very important traditional rulers to be consulted in prosecuting his presidential aspiration.

He however promised to personally come to the Palace soon to congratulate the Ata on his appointment and installation and to consult him on his Presidential aspiration.
