    Akpabio reconstitutes senate committees’ leaderships,names Jimoh Ibrahim, Natasha, others Chairmen

    The President of the senate Godswill Akpabio has named Senators Jimoh Ibrahim (APC Ondo South), Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP Kogi Central), Kawu Summaila ( NNPP Kano South) and others as Chairmen of different standing committees of the Senate

    Akpabio who had in August before Senate proceeded on long recess, announced Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of 74 standing committees, reconstituted the committees due to lost of mandate by some of the previously named chairmen and vice chairmen .

    From the reconstituted committees, he named Senators Jimoh Ibrahim as Chairman of Inter – Parliamentary Affairs , Natasha Akpoti – Uduaghan as Chairman, committee on Local Content, Summaila Kawu as Chairman, committee on Sports Development and Patrick Udubueze as Chairman, Committee on Steel.

    Others are Senators Shuaibu Isa Lau ( Tourism), Binos Yaroe (State and Local Government Affairs) , Sahabi Alhaji Yau (
    National Atomic and Nuclear Energy), Yemi Adaramodu ( Youth and Community Engagement) , Babajide Ipinsagba ( Niger Delta Affairs), Onawo Ogoshi ( Art, Culture and Creative Economy) and Ifeanyi Ubah ( Petroleum Downstream) .

    Also named as Chairmen of reconstituted committees are Senators Sampson Ekong (Solid Minerals Development), Idiat Oluranti Adebule (Social Welfare and poverty alleviation), Jim Kuta (FCT Area Councils) and Muhammed Goje (Sustainable Development Growth)
