The will of the good people of Kogi Central senatorial district may have been thwarted by the power that be but we are not giving up until justice is served and the people’s mandate retrieved.

We are holding onto the last string of hope. Like Zaki Federal Constituency in Bauchi and Zamfara amongst others where justice failed to recognize the influence of the power that be, we are confident justice will take its course in Kogi Central senatorial district and overturn the daylight robbery.

Those who denied the popularity, acceptance, and influence of Barr. Natasha H Akpoti-Uduaghan needs to have themselves examined and exorcised.

Despite the rigging scheme, the organized manipulation, and intimidation by the government of the day, Barr. Natasha still polled overwhelming votes and won four Local Government Areas out of five in Kogi Central.

The Kogi Central senatorial election was a rough, tough, and fierce tussle. It was a hard-fought contest and those who still have an ounce of conscience will admit the fact that Barr. Natasha, a nursing mother defeated all the state machinery sponsored against her and won the senatorial election but unfortunately rigged out without shame and declared the governor’s candidate who lost in four Local Government Areas as the winner.

Like Martin Luther King Jr said, “We refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt.”

We refuse to believe the Bank of Justice in Nigeria is bankrupt and we shall go on until the will of the people prevailed, and the irregularities and injustice in the Kogi Central senatorial election are redressed.

    – Isah Bala writes from Kogi Central Senatorial District.
