Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has suspended four key government officials with immediate effect. The affected officials include:

Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Chrysanthus Dawam, Commissioner for Tourism, Culture and Hospitality, Jamila Tukur, Special Adviser on Rural Development, Dio Lamul and the Liaison Officer for Mikang Constituency, Moses Sule

According to a statement by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the governor approved the suspensions without providing further explanations. However, a source close to the governor revealed that the officials were accused of leaking confidential government documents and sensitive information, including local government election plans, to the opposition.

The suspension is seen as a move to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive government information. The governor also took additional actions, although details were not provided.
