Jigawa Gov Swears -In 33 aides, warns Against Laxity, Impunity

Jigawa state governor, Malam Umar Namadi has warned all political appointees under his administration against laxity and impunity in discharg of their responsibilities.

The governor gave the indication in his speech at the swearing in ceremony for 33 special Advisers and Assistants at the Banquet Hall in government house Dutse.

He indicated that he would not hesitate to sanction any appointee who fails in his official duties.

Malam Namadi explained that all were selected for the jobs after a wide consultation, “I am not expecting anything except to put in all your best including your experience and energy to move Jigawa state forward”.

According to him “There are so many unfortunate narrations about public service delivery and outcomes despite billions of Naira spends every year in Jigawa state”.

“We are in government to tackle these challenges, such as the high rate of child and maternal mortality,  high rate of out of school children,  poverty rate, and also improve our agricultural productivity, learning outcomes, access to quality basic healthcare, wealth generation, growth and development “.

“We have 12 point agenda designed as a framework in our cause to make ‘Jigawa Great’ to achieve this we must work hard, embrace the spirit of patriotism, selfless commitment, fairness and justice and avoid laxity and impunity in delivering our public responsibility ” Governor Namadi stated.

He however, assured the new appointees that he will do everything possible to give them enabling environment to work, but warned that he will not accept anything short of positive results.

Governor Namadi has so far appointed over 150 special Advisers and Assistants aimed at operating all inclusive Government with effective representation down to the grassroots
