Fuel Subsidy: Jigawa Gov Promises to support Farmers to achieve food security

In a bid to ameliorate the hardship ocationed by the fuel subsidy removal on citizens, the Jigawa state governor, Malam Umar Namadi has promised to give full support to farmers to achieve national food security policy.

The governor spoke at a reception organized in honour of the state assembly’s speaker Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin in Miga town, Miga local government area.
The governor said his administration would ensure agricultural revolution agenda and other policies designed for improving the state economy and social development.

Namadi indicated that with the year’s rainy season, farming has advanced hence there is need for farmers to consult extension workers for advice on any challenge they encountered on their farms.
He urged them to also use modern farming techniques and other available implements to improve their production.

He reiterated the commitment of his government to ensure the supply of fertilizer, chemicals and other modern farm implements at the doorsteps of farmers across all the 27 local government area of the state.

The governor however commended Miga Development Initiative Group for organizing the occasion in honour of their ollustrious son Rt Hon Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin.

“I am happy to tell Miga constituency that Rt Hon Aliyu is a good representative, a reliable and committed leader who cares about development of Jigawa state and humanity, therefore this honour is well deserved “Governor Namadi stated.

On his part, the speaker Rt Ho Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah, Governor Namadi, Miga constituency and all well wishers for the honour given to him, describing it as a source of inspiration and encouragement.

Hon Dangyatin promised to ensure good working relationship between the legislative and th executive for more dividend of democracy to the people of Jigawa state in line with All Progressives Congress (APC) philosophy
