Vote Buying: Thugs attack EFCC vehicle in Bwari over suspect’s arrest

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) who were being conveyed in an 18-seater bus for election duty in the Bwari Area Council, Abuja, have been attacked unidetified by thugs on Saturday

The incident happened at the LEA Primary School polling unit in Bwari town, after officials of the commission apprehended an unidentified suspect for alleged vote buying.

The thugs swooped on their vehicle, attacking them, smatching the wind shield while the officials tried to leave the premises with the suspect.The thugs shut the gate of the school against the anti graft agency officials to leave the suspect or be held hostageThe hoodlums were also seen fighting others who tried to stop them from disrupting the ongoing exercise.However, calm was restored as of time of filing this report, after the attention of the army was drawn to the centre, where they mounted their patrol vehicle to safeguard the process.
