A former Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Mr Musa Dikko has described the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) as the game changer in the Nigeria’s electoral system

He stated this on Saturday after casting his vote at the Kofar Sarki Maitama, Kubwa Polling Unit while also expressing satisfaction with the functionality of the BVAS.

Dikko indicated that henceforth with the BVAS experience, with the trained Independent and National Electoral Commission (INEC) staff and with the speed at which they are going, we are getting the election right and better.”

He, however, appealed to the government to ensure that more BVAS were deployed to polling units with over 1000 voters.

“This is to enable the voters to cast their votes as early as possible and get back to their respective homes.”

The party stalwart added that certainly, the voting system and pattern was so encouraging.

He said: “Certainly I’m happy and blessed to be a part of this great exercise, the hope for Nigeria and for Nigerians. It has been wonderful.

“The enthusiasm among the electorate is what has made me happy and it has been very peaceful in spite one or two issues of trying to vote first, that shows the interest the voters have.”

He further said that this election was so unique because the younger generation had worked hard to take over the leadership of the country.

“There are younger ones that have come out to vote against what we use to see where it is only the elderly that come out to cast their votes.

“My expectation is that the result is going to come out early, it is going to be free, fair and credible and the result will be expected by all Nigerians.”
