Ex-Gov, 2 ex-reps members win PDP Senatorial tickets In Jigawa

A former Governor of Jigawa state Alhaji Ibrahim Saminu Turaki and two former members house of representatives, Alhaji Husaini Namadi and Alhaji Mustapha Habib have emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Flag bearers for the Jigawa Northwest, Northeast and Southeast Senatorial Zones respectively

Their victory happened during the party’s primary elections held yesterday in Gumel, Hadejia and Dutse respectively

All the Candidates emerged unopposed during the primary election which was conducted peacefully across all the three senatorial zones in the state.

In his comment on the conduct of the primary election, the state chairman of the Party, Hon Babandi Ibrahim Gumel described the exercise as successful and encouraging.

Hon Babandi noted that, the preparation of PDP to take over Jigawa state in the forthcoming 2023 general election is going on smoothly as the National and state assembly primary elections have been conducted without hitch.

He called on PDP members and delegates to sustained the tempo in the gubernatorial primary election which comes up next.
